Interview with Viktor Bilak : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Viktor Bilak : The main idea of the design project is image of pergola. .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Viktor Bilak : In main focus in designing this project was to achive the effect of openness on stand. .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Viktor Bilak : This project realized on exhibition MosBuild 2016 04-08 of April in Moscow. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Viktor Bilak : I did this concept about two months. .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Viktor Bilak : This project inducted by inspiration. The idea of the project was connected with non-standard space of the stand. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Viktor Bilak : This project realized on exhibition MosBuild by bilder partner EXPOLINK company. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Viktor Bilak : Italian architecture influence on design of this work. .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Viktor Bilak : The wallpaper manufacturer A.S. & PALITRA is the customer for this design project. .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Viktor Bilak : The name for this design is the name of company-client A.S. & PALITRA. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Viktor Bilak : During the working on this project I used Autodesk Design Suit, Adobe Creative Suit Design Premium, OCTAdesign, CorelDRAW computer programs. .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Viktor Bilak : The most unique aspect of this design is connection beetween the aesthetic image of pergola and exhibitional space of the stand. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Viktor Bilak : During the working on this project I collaborated with engineers of exhibition stand. .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Viktor Bilak : This particular design used special technology for making elements of the stand from chipboad without joints. .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Viktor Bilak : The project required empirical research and selection of color of wallpaper depending from real context of nearby stands on exhibition. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Viktor Bilak : The hardest part of this design activity was to choose the wallpaper in accordance to aesthetic concept of the stand and agree it with the client. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Viktor Bilak : During realization of this project I received positive reaction from my client, builder and visitors of the stand. So, I decided to participate in design competition. .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Viktor Bilak : In this project I learned and used new type of lighting for wallpaper. .
